Welcome
CASES is the new alcohol advice service for St Helens.
We are a small, friendly team who offer free, confidential and non-judgemental information, advice and 'on the spot' alcohol screenings for anyone worried that they could be drinking a bit too much.
Drinking alcohol is not 'wrong'. Lets face it, most people enjoy social drinking.
But it is important to be sensible – and not to put yourself or others at risk.
Our aim is to help people make a more informed choice about how much alcohol they are drinking, and to help stop potential alcohol-related problems occurring before they happen.
Working with all ages, we provide group sessions, community events and informal, one-to-one chats to help answer any questions or concerns you may have, including …
- What is a 'unit' of alcohol?
- How much alcohol is too much?
- How many calories are in my favourite drink?
- What are the recommended safe limits?
- What are the risks of drinking more than this?
